The creator of that invention, Wietse Wind, who is currently most likely the top developer on XRPL, entered the conversation at this point. Five years ago, Wind disclosed his similar development for Reddit, where XRP was intended to be utilized for donations. The developer has released a second bot that enables users of another Wind product, Xumm Wallet, to tweet XRP.

The bot’s statistics show that over the course of its existence, 20,531 donations worth 154,643 XRP have been sent through it.
