Antonio Senatore, Global CTO of Deloitte Blockchain Joins VeChain Foundation As The New Interim Steering Committee Member

Since the launch of the VeChain Foundation in 2017, we have been driven by our vision of enabling a public blockchain platform that derives its value from activities created by members within the ecosystem solving real world problems. The mission of VeChainThor as an enterprise-grade, smart contract public blockchain is to support this broad view of mass adoption across different industries, and to maintain a scalable, efficient, and sustainable smart contract platform for enterprises, developers and individuals.

To achieve the vision and mission outlined above, the VeChain Foundation has established a Steering Committee composed of professionals, industry leaders and credible individuals across industries and academia that functions as the leaders and representatives of all stakeholders of the VeChainThor blockchain.

For personal reasons, Steering Committee Member Daniel Kelman has resigned before his term formally ends. During his resignation remarks on August 22, Mr. Kelman expressed his gratitude for contributing as a member of the Steering Committee and his time serving the VeChain ecosystem. His years of service are a testimony of his dedication to the VeChainThor blockchain ecosystem. We would like to thank Daniel Kelman for his valuable contributions and wish him all the best in his endeavors.

As the VeChain Foundation prepares for the next Steering Committee election, we have been in search of credible candidates to ensure the VeChainThor blockchain continues to maintain its leadership within the public blockchain industry. While the search and preparation continues, there is a need to fill in the gap in the Steering Committee as a result of Daniel Kelman’s resignation.

Today, in the spirit of transparency and openness, we are excited to bring good news to all VeChainThor stakeholders: Antonio Senatore, Deloitte Global blockchain CTO and head of the Deloitte EMEA Blockchain Lab ,will be joining the VeChain Foundation as interim member of the Board of Steering Committee!

In accordance with the latest Governance Charter, the proposal to appoint him as the new interim member of the Steering Committee was submitted and approved in recent days by the current board.

As an official member of the Steering Committee, he will extend his obligations of not just being an advisor, but will now actively serve all stakeholders in the VeChainThor ecosystem, executing his responsibilities in the governance, decision making and ensuring the fairness and effectiveness on all fundamental matters within the VeChainThor ecosystem.
