Ukraine has abandoned its plans to airdrop a “reward” to crypto donors, soon release an NFT
Ukraine Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, announced that it had decided to cancel the distribution “after careful consideration.”
After careful consideration we decided to cancel airdrop. Every day there are more and more people willing to help Ukraine to fight back the agression. Instead, we will announce NFTs to support Ukrainian Armed Forces soon. We DO NOT HAVE any plans to issue any fungible tokens

Ukraine canceled an airdrop for crypto donors
About $9 million worth of Ethereum donations flooded into Ukrainian addresses after the government announced Wednesday’s broadcast. However, Ukraine abandoned its plan to broadcast the token to crypto sponsors.
“After careful consideration, we decided to cancel airdrop,” Mykhailo Fedorov, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation, said before adding:
“Every day, there are more and more people willing to help Ukraine to fight back the aggression. Instead, we will announce NFTs to support Ukrainian Armed Forces soon. We DO NOT HAVE any plans to issue any fungible tokens.”
He gave no reason for canceling the airdrop announced by Ukraine’s official Twitter account, but Tron’s founder Justin Sun complained about the airdrop, not including Tron donors.
“It is a wise decision!” – Sun said in reply to the minister’s announcement even though Tron is a centralized copypasta blockchain with a market cap of just 2% that of ethereum.
Instead, he added, the government will soon release a set of NFTs to support the military efforts to combat Russia’s invasion. Instead, the Ukrainian government saw donations double in their ethereum address after the airdrop announcement to $20 million, as pictured above, showing donations before and after the airdrop was announced.
