The Court of Appeal of England and Wales rules calling Craig Wright a fraud is not a UK-related matter
According to May 29 court documents from the Court of Appeal of England and Wales, Craig Wright has lost an appeal against Roger Ver, Bitcoin.com founder, and Bitcoin Cash evangelism.
Craig Wright lost an appeal against Bitcoin.com founder Roger Ver
Wright sued Ver for calling him a crook and a liar in a YouTube video that was now deleted in 2019. However, the lawsuit was eventually dismissed, and this caused Wright to file a complaint. appeal. Even so, the appeal has now been rejected because England and Wales is not the most appropriate place to bring this action for Defamation.
Craig Steven Wright is an Australian computer scientist and businessman
The Court decided as follows:
“Dr. Wright’s reputation is just as likely to be affected in other jurisdictions where publication took place, as it is in England and Wales since Bitcoin is a global currency.”
Roger Ver said Wright now faces court costs of nearly $ 100,000. And Ver said it would force Wright to pay him with Bitcoin Cash.
Wright has faced many lawsuits over time
As AZCoin News reported, the lawsuit between developer Dave Kleiman and Craig Wright continued to develop with new details when it was suggested that the Court should enter case-terminating sanctions for repeated lies, deceit, and perjury.
Remarkably, the judges emphasized that their decision did not mention whether Wright was Satoshi Nakamoto or not. And it is also a claim that Wright tried to prove in his lawsuit against Kleiman – scheduled for trial on July 6.
Moreover, it seems the whole cryptocurrency community is too bored with Craig Wright’s ridiculous tricks. Therefore, a long list of 145 addresses and signatures of owners of Bitcoin mined in the first years, has confirmed Wright as a liar.
Someone just signed a message calling Craig a fraud from 145 addresses Craig claimed were his in the Tulip Trust.
I verified the first few addresses on the list, and their signatures and presence on Craig’s list checks out.https://t.co/gwTy8GcmiF pic.twitter.com/4hHCKr8NCA
