Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he’ll never turning down getting paid in Bitcoin again

Whenever Elon Musk mentions any coin, that coin will grow significantly. Dogecoin rally, for example, when Musk just randomly teased it on Twitter was enough to make the coin soar. Recently, Musk mentioned Bitcoin again when BTC fans asked if they could use it as a means of payment.

The Elon Musk effect is more useful to Bitcoin price than we think

Not long ago, the Tesla CEO tweeted some Bitcoin banter Sunday, including calling Bitcoin. He shouted out Dogecoin in a tweet saying, “One Word: Doge.”

The tweet sent shares of Dogecoin up nearly 20% and landed it on the list of trending Twitter topics. The tech billionaire even went as far as updating his Twitter bio with the title “Former CEO of Dogecoin.”

Musk’s Twitter antics come as the dominant cryptocurrency surged to all-time highs during the coronavirus pandemic. Last week, bitcoin skyrocketed past $ 20,000 – topping $ 24,000 – as the currency continues to grow in popularity among investors.

Over the years, Bitcoin investors have asked Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, if they can buy a car or ticket to Mars with Bitcoin. Or rather, they are asking Musk if they accept Bitcoin as a means of payment.

Responding to comments from Ben Mezrich, the author of the Bitcoin-themed book Accidental Billionaires, that he “never turning down getting paid in bitcoin again”, Musk said: “Me too”.

While it’s unclear if Musk is joking, but in response to his tweet, many have asked if they could buy a Tesla Model 3 with BTC.

This isn’t the first time Musk has tweeted about Bitcoin or Dogecoin. The SpaceX CEO mentioned the digital coin in July when he tweeted “It’s inevitable” with an image depicting the dogecoin standard engulfing the global financial system. The tweet sent shares up 14% at the time.
