Terra (LUNA) is on the radar of the top 500 ETH whales, ranking among the most purchased assets according to this whale category.

In the analysis provided by WhaleStats of the top 500 ETH whales, LUNA ranks fourth in terms of the most bought asset, while ETH and stablecoins USDC and USDT rank in the top three. Luna ranks one of the most purchased tokens by the top 100 Ethereum whales. Other assets also mostly bought by this type of whale include Shiba Inu (SHIB), Apecoin (APE), and Fantom (FTM).

Besides being one of the most bought assets, an ETH whale named “bonobo” acquired nearly 110,000 LUNA tokens in two separate transactions reported by WhaleStats.

The first transaction involved the purchase of 55,035 LUNA, or $4,703,291 worth. The second transaction was reported concurrently with the first, and it involved the purchase of 55,000 LUNA, or $4,700,300 worth.

The whale’s holdings show that the whale primarily betting on FTT (FTX) owns 22,587,360 FTT tokens worth $879,138,240. The whale, or large holder, is also a SHIB investor who owns 19 billion (19,091,000,000) SHIB worth $424,127,000.

This whale’s holdings include several crypto assets in bulk, including the massive 14,374,323 Fantom (FTM) holdings worth $10,780,742. However, the LUNA balance held by the top whale only reflects the first purchase, suggesting that the whale may have traded with another buy lot of 55,000 LUNA.

Although most cryptocurrencies have struggled, the LUNA price has rallied quite well this year. The token and algorithmic stablecoin UST rose to the top 10 of the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

Terra (LUNA) recently launched on Thailand-based crypto exchange Bitkub. Bitkub, founded in early 2018, is the country’s largest cryptocurrency exchange in Thailand and controls over 90% of the local market.
