Tencent Cloud and Ankr Unveil Game-Changing Web3 Solution: Blockchain RPC
Tencent Cloud, the cloud business division of global technology company Tencent, has launched its first Web3-native product, Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC, in collaboration with Ankr. This innovative offering aims to provide a reliable Web3 infrastructure and essential developer services to Web3 builders, ensuring they can thrive in the ever-evolving Web3 landscape.
The newly introduced Blockchain RPC service enables developers to conveniently query data and process transactions across various blockchains while maintaining a high level of stability in the underlying node infrastructure, thanks to the partnership with Ankr. This allows developers to interact with blockchain networks with minimal latency, freeing them to focus on decentralized application development.
Beyond simplifying blockchain access, Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC addresses the challenges enterprises and Web3 projects face when building their own nodes. These challenges include high operational costs, resource demands, and the need for rapid updates in response to blockchain changes. Additionally, the service overcomes issues related to stability, availability, and the flexibility of scaling during periods of high demand.
Poshu Yeung, Senior Vice President of Tencent Cloud International, expressed the company’s commitment to the global Web3 community through this partnership, stating, “Tencent Cloud is glad to be offering unprecedented capabilities to empower developers and to support the growth of decentralized applications.”
Stanley Wu, Co-Founder and CTO of Ankr, emphasized the significance of the partnership, marking a milestone in the integration of the decentralized internet into the broader web ecosystem, which is expected to accelerate the development of blockchain applications.
Key Features of Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC include two versions: a free public version with set features and rate limits, and a premium Pay-as-you-Go version with increased request throughput and enhanced rate limits. An enterprise-exclusive version is planned for the near future, expanding blockchain coverage and global reach. The service will also gradually integrate support for additional blockchains and advanced API features into the public and premium versions.
The service boasts high concurrency performance, supporting up to 1,800 requests per second per chain, thanks to Ankr’s node expertise. Tencent Cloud’s extensive cloud service experience ensures high disaster tolerance, availability, and ultra-low latency RPC services. Additionally, the product offers transparent and straightforward billing, charging solely based on the number of requests, with no extra fees for Archive Node requests. It also provides 24/7 enterprise-level technical support with dedicated personnel.
Currently available in the availability zones of Hong Kong and Singapore, the service caters to customers worldwide, offering blockchain interaction capabilities for Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Smart Chain, and Polygon PoS, with plans to include more Layer-1 and Layer-2 roll-up blockchains in the future. Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC, in conjunction with Tencent Cloud’s user engagement tools, security products, and cloud infrastructure, aims to accelerate the development of Web3 innovations, supporting developers and projects globally.
