STEPN Collaborates with Japanese anime ‘Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045’ to Offer Exclusive Digital Sneakers

Fitness app “STEPN” has made an exciting announcement on May 18th regarding its collaboration with the popular Japanese anime “Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045.” This collaboration introduces a series of digital sneakers featuring anime motifs, which will be sold through a lottery system. These sneakers are co-branded with the Solana and have already been made available on the NFT electronic marketplace called “MOOAR.”

The partnership between GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045 and STEPN has generated a lot of buzz. The collaboration offers an exclusive Solana co-branded STEPN Sneaker Raffle on MOOAR, providing fans with the opportunity to acquire 100 Genesis co-branded sneakers along with 1900 OGs. The raffle is divided into two categories: Genesis Sneakers and OG Sneakers, with distinct designs inspired by characters like Motoko, Batou, Togusa, Tachikoma, and others.

The raffle for the Genesis Sneakers will take place from May 18th, 5:30 am UTC, to May 30th, 5:30 am UTC. Participants can purchase raffle tickets for 3500 GMT (STEPN’s native token) per sneaker. Each design will consecutively be raffled for three days.

Similarly, the raffle for the OG Sneakers will also run from May 18th, 5:30 am UTC, to May 30th, 5:30 am UTC. These sneakers will be available for 300 GMT per sneaker, and there are 12 amazing designs to choose from. Just like the Genesis Sneakers, each design will consecutively be raffled daily.

STEPN has provided additional information for participants. Users have the option to auto-reroll their losing entries, and GMT can only be withdrawn once the event concludes. However, users who do not opt for the auto-reroll option are free to withdraw their GMT at any time. Winners will find their prizes located in the MOOAR dashboard.

This collaboration marks another milestone for STEPN, as the fitness app quickly gained popularity in Japan after its release. Recognizing the significance of the Japanese market, the Stepn team has been actively seeking opportunities to engage Japanese users.

In April 2022, they successfully held an Initial Game Offering (IGO) in partnership with major Japanese sports brand ASICS, featuring co-branded NFT sneakers. The event garnered significant attention and participation as soon as the lottery recruitment commenced on “Binance NFT.”

In August of the same year, STEPN announced a memorandum of understanding with LINE Xenesis Corporation, further strengthening its presence in Japan. Yawn Rong, co-founder of STEPN’s operator Find Satoshi Lab, expressed their commitment to providing Japanese users with more opportunities to enjoy the world of WEB3, recognizing Japan as one of LINE’s largest consumer markets with approximately 92 million users.

With the latest collaboration with “Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045,” STEPN continues to push boundaries and offer unique experiences to its users, bridging the worlds of fitness, anime, and digital assets.
