The burn rate increased as more tokens—millions more—were delivered to inactive wallets. 9 transactions and 93,876,540 SHIB tokens were burned on the last day. Given that only 2.1 million SHIB were burned the day before, this is highly significant. In the last seven days, the SHIB burn tracker shows the amount of SHIB burned to be 197,799,286 SHIB.

Shiba Inu’s holder count, which is currently 1,237,156, continues to reach new highs, according to data from WhaleStats. Furthermore, it appears that conviction among holders is at an all-time high. Currently, exactly 97% of SHIB holders are medium- and long-term investors. As the shares of midterm and long-term holders approach parity, an intriguing phenomena is emerging. Long-term investors, or “hodlers,” now make up 48% of investors, while midterm investors make up 49% of investors.
The last 24 hours have seen a staggering amount of SHIB move between wallets. According to the crypto data tracker Whale Alert, a whopping 3,400,897,761,900 SHIB worth $43,022,376 were moved between wallets.
Currently, expectations are in place for an imminent Shibarium release. An official Twitter account, @shibariumnet, has been unveiled, which has over 20,800 followers at press time.
The team predicts that this will ultimately develop into a social knowledge hub for anything associated with the Shibarium Network and Protocol. Recent updates published by Unification indicate that Shibarium is getting close to a public beta release.
