ShapeShift declared Ripple is now available on its platform but XRP army was not happy!

In 2015, ShapeShift added Ripple support and allowed for the nearly instantaneous transfer between cryptocurrencies. However, at that time, the Ripple company still named the Ripple as the name of the second-largest cryptocurrency. Later, the company changed its cryptocurrency name to XRP to avoid the case that people thought buying XRP was buying shares of Ripple.

And now, with its latest announcement of support for XPR on the platform, ShapeShift continues to receive a lot of reactions from the community when it is unclear between the names Ripple and XRP.

It is cool, but it is not Ripple but XRP!

ShapeShift is one of the fastest ways to exchange crypto assets. Using this service, users can trade cryptocurrencies in a matter of seconds. ShapeShift dramatically reduces the risk of stolen funds, and maximizes increases in privacy because it requires no account or personal data to use. ShapeShift has a strict “no fiat” policy meaning that it can not be used to purchase cryptocurrencies with credit/debit cards or bank accounts.

Previously, Ripple has been added to ShapeShift, allowing XRP to be instantly converted to or from most of the currencies available on ShapeShift. After that, ShapeShift restructured the operation, and now, they say users can trade, send, and receive XRP on the platform.

However, this news does not make many people excited. Instead, people are mostly staring at the ignorance of the ShapeShift team as they seem to be unable to distinguish when to call Ripple and when to call XRP.

Quite a lot of users think that ShapeShift should make it clear to everyone. Because Ripple is a company, and XRP is the digital asset.

Moreover, it takes the XRP army two years to educate the community on the difference between XRP and Ripple. Yet ShapeShift left behind a critical issue. They insist that the platform show its respect to the community and correct it.
