Several XRP Army held a protest outside the SEC headquarters earlier
XRP holders gathered outside the US Securities and Exchange Commission headquarters in Washington, DC on Friday to protest the agency’s lawsuit against distributed ledger technology company Ripple.
They are asking the regulator to stop the “war on crypto” and investigate the alleged conflict of interest of former chairman Jay Clayton. The demonstration is holdings signs with such messages as “Stop Crypto Hypocrisy,” “Cryptocurrency Is Not a Crime,” and “XRP 4 Life.”
Not long ago, the XRP Army also filed a Change.org petition with the SEC earlier this month. XRP holders’ Change.org petition that urges the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to drop the Ripple lawsuit and investigate its former boss has obtained 30,000 signatures. However, so far have only received an automated response from the agency.
Crypto & Policy founder Thomas Hodge writes that he will now be sent to SEC Chair Gary Gensler.
“I am closing the petition and preparing the final document with all the signatories to electronically submit to SEC Chairman Gensler later today.”
Cryptocurrency holders are also trying to put themselves in the Ripple case with their intervention.
