Earlier this month, the site of 450 million Reddit users gave the cryptocurrency industry a huge boost, through the introduction of tokens for two of its subreddits (/ r / Cryptocurrency and / r / FortniteBR). ).
The two tokens on the platform are called ‘Moons’ and ‘bricks’ and both are ERC-20 tokens, which are used to buy exclusive items or earning reputation points. However, at the moment, Reddit is relying on Ethereum’s testnet Rinkeby, meaning the aforementioned tokens do not have any value.
Moreover, it seems that Reddit is planning to launch the mainnet after the summer. However, some users are still worried about gas charges as the new Reddit stream is joining the platform. It is known that gas prices have quadrupled in just one month.
