Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego encouraged to avoid fiat and invest in bitcoin
In a Spanish-language video posted to Twitter on December 24, Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego recently encouraged fans to avoid fiat and invest in Bitcoin. Especially this is not the first time Salinas has promoted the use of BTC.
Mexican billionaire encourages Twitter followers to invest in Bitcoin
“Stay away from fiat money,” Salinas said. “The dollar, the euro, the yen, the peso — all are the same story. It’s fake money made of paper lies, and the central banks are producing more money than ever. Invest in Bitcoin.”
The @therationalroot did a good job with the subtitles! I also had two other pieces of advice :1 stay away from envy and envious people, nothing good comes from them.2 liberty, innovation and competition will get us to prosperity. https://t.co/I4NyCODKsk

According to Forbes, this is not the first time Mexico’s third-richest billionaire
promoted the use of BTC. Salinas tweeted on December 16 that retailer Grupo Elektra, one of the companies under his Grupo Salinas group, will accept bitcoin payments.
Salinas also tweeted in June that he has recommended Bitcoin and is working on making his bank, Banco Azteca, the first in Mexico to accept it. But that goal still has to be seen. Mexico’s central bank was quick to issue a statement the next day stating that crypto-assets like BTC are not legal tender and financial institutions are not allowed to offer cryptocurrency transactions.
