According to the latest information, one of the largest Canadian brokers, Matrix Mortgage Global, is the latest to introduce payments with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, XRP, and some stablecoins.
Canadian broker enables Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP Payments
Founded in 2008, Matrix Mortgage Global enabled customers to receive financing on housing that has carried out over $ 1.5 billion in mortgage originations. The company has championed alternative lending since its inception, and its latest announcement could be regarded as another step in that direction.
Through a partnership with US-based crypto service provider BitPay, Matrix Mortgage Global will allow all customers to pay for goods and services using several popular crypto assets. Best. As such, Matrix Mortgage Global customers will be able to use BTC, XRP, ETH, BCH, and some stablecoins to pay for the company’s services. However, the announcement did not state which stablecoins the company will deploy.
Introducing digital assets is intended to expand the company into international markets where it is impractical to accept credit cards. Furthermore, this addition will increase transparency, speed, and efficiency of payments, and reduce fees high.
The Matrix Mortgage Global initiative works in line with the Canadian Revenue Agency’s view that crypto-assets can be used to pay for goods and services and will be treated as a transaction barter.
MMG Founder Shawn Allen stated:
“As an innovator in the mortgage industry, we decided to accept cryptocurrency to better align ourselves with the shift towards the global adoption of digital currency. Blockchain technology with the use of smart contracts is going to change the way mortgages are processed.”
Matrix Mortgage Global’s introduction of electronic money payments comes in a context that other companies are tending to do the same thing. Perhaps the most famous name to do so since the start of the year is Elon Musk’s Tesla. After a massive purchase of BTC, the electric vehicle giant said it would allow bitcoin payments for its cars.
America has been at the forefront of this trend, including some of the country’s most famous sports leagues. The National Basketball Association has at least two representatives who accept cryptocurrency payments.
Sacramento Kings has been doing so since 2014, and the club’s head said earlier this week that all employees can start getting how many paychecks they want in BTC. On the other hand, the Dallas Mavericks has gone in a different direction and allows for the payment of goods and tickets in the popular meme coin – Dogecoin.
