Manish Gupta joins Coinbase as executive vice president of engineering
Coinbase, the world’s leading cryptocurrency trading platform, has announced that it appointed Manish Gupta, the former VP of Engineering for Google’s Ads platform, as new executive vice president of engineering.

Manish joins Coinbase exchange from Lyft where he served as VP of Engineering for the last two years, overseeing several rideshare engineering teams. He joined Lyft after 16 years at Google, last holding the role of VP of Engineering for Google’s Ads platform.
CEO Brian Armstrong cited need to build “new crypto-native products and services” and its pivot to a “remote-first culture”. But he was coy on specific projects for Coinbase’s new vice president of engineering.
