In late 2020, O’Leary became interested in Bitcoin after being told by crypto influencer Anthony Pompliano to buy some. Around that time, he concluded that it was the only cryptocurrency that worked.

In 2021, he moved beyond Bitcoin and started investing heavily in the decentralized finance space.

O’Leary is also interested in NFTs tokens. In an interview with Forbes, he predicted that they could eventually become more significant than the largest cryptocurrencies as they cover many use cases, such as inventory management and identification. This businessman also owns Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and other coins.
