Jaw-dropping amount of Bitcoin has been shifted from Coinbase to anonymous crypto wallets
Three crypto transactions carrying large amounts of Bitcoin have been detected.
$1.175 billion in Bitcoin withdrawn from Coinbase by anon whales
According to several tweets published by the platform, in the past 10 hours, a significant number of Bitcoin blocks (each carrying almost 10,000 BTC) have been withdrawn from the publicly traded U.S.-based crypto exchange Coinbase. The total cryptocurrency transferred to the anonymous wallet includes more than $1.17 billion.
Whale Alert detected three large Bitcoin transfers from Coinbase to anonymous crypto addresses. Each time, the amount fluctuates in the range of 9,850-9,900 BTC for a total of nearly 30,000 BTC.
Earlier, Whale Alert also discovered that a total of 2,102 BTC were transferred to Coinbase from anonymous wallets in two transactions: 1,440 BTC and 662 BTC. The total value of this crypto in fiat is $81.4 million.
Over the past few days, Bitcoin has been depreciating. Since March 9, it has been down more than 8%, falling from $42,540 to $39,072. Two sources on Crypto Twitter have spread that the number of BTC shorting on the Bitfinex exchange is experiencing an explosive increase.
Chinese crypto-journalist Colin Wu and online chain analyst Cole Garner cited the Datamish platform that aggregates long-term and short-term cryptocurrencies.

Several large investors have borrowed around 1,500 BTC to open short positions in the past few hours. Garner shared a screenshot from Datamish, who thinks a capitulation could be imminent. At the time of the tweet, the journalist emphasized 3,063 BTC lent.
