Japanese IT giant Fujitsu Launches Web3 Acceleration Platform for Secure and Reliable Data Exchange

Fujitsu, a leading IT company, announced on Feb 6th the release of its platform, the Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform. This platform is designed for the purpose of planning and testing Web3 (decentralized web) services. The platform will be available in Japan starting March 2023 and globally starting the 2023 fiscal year, offered for free.

The objective of the Web3 platform is to provide a place for individuals and businesses to connect and securely exchange data, through the provision of Web3 element technologies and development environments developed by Fujitsu.

To support the development of new Web3 applications and services, Fujitsu will provide a portal site and development environment for co-creation partners. Companies such as TC3, PocketRD, and SAKURA UNITED PLATFORM are participating as co-creation partners.

The Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform will gradually expand its services starting March 2023. Fujitsu also plans to hold global planning and development contests to further activate the development community.

The deployment of Web3 by domestic companies has been accelerating in recent years. On February 14, 2023, Hakuhodo Keys will host the first web3 global hackathon, sponsored by Toyota.

The Fujitsu Web3 platform is designed to provide multiple scenarios that lead to the solution of various social issues, by utilizing trusted data and advanced simulation and optimization technologies.

Expectations for the creation of new businesses include the management and utilization of digital content rights, the creation of communities and business collaboration through the use of DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations), and the realization of digital trust.
