The group operates a licensed virtual asset exchange, a global asset manager, a blockchain node validation service provider, a tokenization service provider, and a Web3 PFP incubation and community operation service provider, among others.

According to the group’s press release, the new capital will be used to solidify HashKey’s Web3 ecosystem, accelerate the product diversification of its licensed business in Hong Kong, and drive the group’s compliant and innovative development globally.

In 2023, HashKey pioneered a regulatory era in the Hong Kong virtual asset industry by launching the first licensed virtual asset exchange app in Hong Kong, which offers secure and seamless one-stop virtual asset trading services. Within four months of launch, the app attracted over 155,000 registered users, with a daily average trading volume of $630 million in the past 30 days. The app also established strategic partnerships with over ten brokerage firms and six public listed companies, making HashKey a leader in the virtual asset industry under the “Hong Kong Narrative”.

The group is also actively investing in the future with a well-established Web3 ecosystem, which encompasses various businesses that leverage the open meta of blockchain technology. These include HashKey Capital, which invests exclusively in blockchain technology and digital assets; HashKey Cloud, which provides world-leading blockchain node validation services; HashKey Tokenization, which creates digital representations of real-world assets; and HashKey NFT, which incubates and operates Web3 PFP communities.

Michel Lee, the executive president of HashKey Group, said that the Series A funding will help the group expand its business and product offerings, as well as strengthen its regulatory compliance and risk management capabilities. He also said that the group will continue to explore new opportunities and partnerships in the digital asset and blockchain space, and contribute to the growth and innovation of the industry.
