A sushi restaurant located in Asunción started accepting Shiba Inu (SHIB)

In addition, the store will offer a 30% discount for customers paying with SHIB throughout November. It seems that this is one of the restaurant’s strategic marketing to attract more buyers who are crypto users. But this is also a move to promote the adoption of this coin meme.

In July, as AZCoin News reported, a man in Utah is willing to sell his home for a 10% discount if a buyer pays in the joke cryptocurrency. Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks, the professional basketball team owned by crypto-curious billionaire Mark Cuban, organized an advertising campaign for Dogecoin by offering cheaper tickets and merchandise in August to use DOGE as a payment method.

Shiba Inu holders are being sought after by merchants around the world. A French bistro has started accepting SHIB payments. Last week, an Argentine real estate agency made a similar move, as AZCoin News reported.

After entering the top 10 of CoinMarketCap and surpassing the market capitalization of Dogecoin, Shiba Inu received widespread media coverage for its outstanding returns. They became the most trending topic on Twitter, with over a million tweets in just one day.

Let’s dig into the cryptocurrency’s social media channels for a bit. At the time of this writing, this is how many participants there are:

  • Twitter Page: 1.5 million followers.
  • Subreddit (SHIBArmy): 359,000 members.
  • Discord Community: 150,000 members.
  • Instagram: 56,000 followers.
  • Telegram Group: 48,000 people.

These are some big numbers for a cryptocurrency project that was born a little over a year ago. For comparison, despite being one of the veteran cryptocurrencies, Dogecoin has 2.3 million followers – about 50% more. In other words – SHIB has a massive following.

However, as AZCoin News reported, it was overtaken by DOGE. The Shiba Inu, which saw an insane amount of buying earlier this week, reached a new lifetime high of $0.00008616 before its furious rally hit the pause button.
