Get Your Free Ethereum NFT: ConsenSys Celebrates Blockchain Upgrade

ConsenSys, a blockchain technology company, has announced the release of another non-fungible token (NFT) collection to celebrate the upcoming Shanghai/Capella upgrade on the Ethereum blockchain. The collection is called “Ethereum, Evolved: Shanghai” and consists of two editions – a commemorative edition and an open edition.

The commemorative edition is being airdropped to Ethereum Core Developers as a token of appreciation for their contributions to the upgrade. Meanwhile, the open edition is available to anyone with a MetaMask wallet who wants to mint it for free, excluding gas fees.

The Shanghai/Capella upgrade is a technological milestone that will upgrade Ethereum’s execution and consensus layers simultaneously, enabling staked ETH withdrawals. This activation will reduce barriers to entry for retail and institutional stakers, promoting increased participation, decentralization, and network security. This upgrade, alongside the Merge, is a significant step in the progression of the Ethereum roadmap and a milestone in the history of the internet.

ConsenSys celebrated the activation of the Merge with a collection of art NFTs called Regenesis. The collection comprised two sets of NFTs – a set of commemorative NFTs presented to the Ethereum Core Developers, researchers, and client teams and an open edition NFT of Regenesis that anyone with a web3 wallet could mint. Regenesis was forever tied to the birth of PoS Ethereum, as it holds one of the first NFTs that was minted on Block 1. The open edition NFT was also one of the most distributed NFT drops in the history of Ethereum, with 327,600 mints.

Ethereum, Evolved: Shanghai NFT

The Shanghai/Capella upgrade is another significant moment in the Ethereum roadmap, and ConsenSys is back with another NFT collection to commemorate the event. Ethereum, Evolved: Shanghai is an opportunity for web3 enthusiasts worldwide to claim a piece of technological memorabilia that celebrates this breakthrough. The NFT claim window will open on April 12, 2023, and will remain open for 72 hours.

In conclusion, ConsenSys is once again demonstrating its support for Ethereum’s development by commemorating this milestone with an NFT collection that highlights the network’s evolution. As more upgrades and developments continue, it is likely that there will be many more opportunities for the crypto community to celebrate and own a piece of technological memorabilia.
