FTX Creditors Can Now Check Account Balance on Huobi and Poloniex Using Customer Code
Justin Sun announced that FTX customers can now check their account balance on two other popular crypto exchanges, Huobi and Poloniex, using a unique identifier called a Customer Code. This news has been welcomed by FTX users who have been looking for ways to check their account balance since the exchange filed for bankruptcy in November 2022.
So, what exactly is a Customer Code? According to FTX’s bankruptcy team, a Customer Code is a unique identifier that is created for each user and is different from an FTX UID. Using this code, customers can find information about their FTX balance on the Huobi and Poloniex websites.

However, some FTX users may not know their Customer Code. In this case, they can try fuzzy searches using the currencies they hold in their FTX account and their approximate amount. They can then narrow down the list by examining the balance of each Customer Code shown in the results. It’s worth noting that the FTX balances are provided according to the snapshot between 11/11/2022 and 11/12/2022.
But what if a customer can’t find their account balance in the results? Currently, the publicly disclosed information does not cover the account balance and Customer Code of all FTX users. However, Huobi and Poloniex have promised to update the data as more information becomes available.
It’s important to note that all data comes from the public disclosure of FTX’s claims agent, Kroll. To secure the information about their account balance, FTX users should not share their Customer Code with any third parties.
In light of this news, Huobi and Poloniex have reiterated their commitment to standing with the affected users of FTX. Justin Sun, who is himself a creditor of FTX, has pledged to work with the community to ensure that both FTX users and creditors can eventually recover as much of their assets as possible.
