Fake copy of AI token SingularityNET (AGIX) is promoted by scammers

Cardano’s Most Exciting AI Token Involved in Fake Airdrop

Even though SingularityNET (AGIX) began in 2018, making it one of the oldest AI projects in the cryptocurrency space, imitators are confident that it still requires an airdrop to attract users.

The Linktree landing page closely imitated the fake SingularityNET landing page. Although the page is connected to a phishing website, they use genuine films created by the founders of SingularityNET and Cardano’s (ADA) Input Output Global. It requests that users tie their wallets to the Cardano (ADA) and Ethereum (ETH) blockchains simultaneously, which is impossible to do with a smart contract.

Additionally, there is no connection between the Twitter account used to promote this token and the actual SingularityNET (AGIX) social media reps.

The name of the con artists used for the account is not an officer on the site who is known to the general public. Sadly, in addition to bots and criminals, some genuine Cardano (ADA) supporters have fallen for this con and retweeted the announcement.

The token had increased by almost 900% since Nov. 30, 2022, when ChatGPT was released and the AI/ML frenzy in cryptocurrencies began. A week ago, it reached a local top of nearly $0.6.
