Elon Musk tweet causes 763 nodes to implement Dogecoin 1.14.4 upgrade
Elon Musk told me it’s important we upgrade our #dogecoin nodes
This will help secure the network and lower transaction fees
Currently we are at 763 nodes and are making good progress.

On August 30, as AZCoin News reported, Musk tweeted that the importance of the new Dogecoin node upgrade is very high and it will make the network more secure and lead to lower transaction fees later on. Musk supported the call from a Dogecoin-related Twitter account to spread the latest upgrade. According to GitHub, the release was made nine days ago, preparing the network to reduce fees. This issue has caused heated discussions and debates in the DOGE community for a long time.
Musk’s tweet also reminds the DOGE community that the network needs new nodes to help secure the network and help reduce fees. Earlier, the Tesla CEO tweeted that he worked with developers to improve the project’s transaction efficiency. According to the tweet of Doge Whisperer, by now 763 nodes have implemented the upgrade. But the network needs a lot more new nodes, the tweet says.
On September 7, the eighth-ranked Dogecoin price dipped below $0.30, hitting as low as $0.22, along with Bitcoin dropping below the $50,000 mark. The last time, DOGE was seen at this price was in early August. At press time, DOGE is changing hands at $0.245.

Earlier, Billy Markus, co-founder of Doge, shared a screenshot of a news headline regarding Elon Musk’s recent tweet about time being the ultimate currency.
The media turned the tweet into a clickbait headline related to Dogecoin, and the coin’s co-founder mocked the news outlet’s attempt to capture the audience’s attention in this way. Musk commented on that with a double ROFL emoji.
However, Musk isn’t joking when it comes to Dogecoin. Elon Musk’s Dogecoin strategy is to become the Dogefather. Bitcoin has Satoshi. Ethereum, Vitalik. Dogecoin had nobody. Now it has Elon Musk, who recognized a clear power vacuum in the dogecoin community and began floating himself out there on social media as the Dogefather.
