It is known that various bugs were fixed in the new release, and the network’s performance improved in several directions. Now, developers urge all users to make this upgrade and thus improve the entire network’s performance.
The upgrade can be easily installed over an existing 1.14 installation without uninstalling, indexing, or re-download. The update is in preparation for the reduction of the network’s fees. This is the first step in the two-stage upgrade required to reduce fees.
Musk’s tweet also reminds the DOGE community that the network needs new nodes to help secure the network and help reduce fees. Earlier, the Tesla CEO tweeted that he worked with developers to improve the project’s transaction efficiency.
