Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana suggested Elon Musk should be anointed as the king of crypto

Luxury, authentic and unconventional Dolce & Gabbana tweeted that legend has it that the special collector that owns The Doge Crown will then be the anointed King of Crypto. And it looks like this title will go to Dogecoin fan, Elon Musk.

Will Elon Musk be crowned as the new crypto king?

It seems that Dolce & Gabbana takes Dogecoin very seriously, they imply that Tesla CEO Elon Musk should be celebrated as the king of crypto if he eventually owns Doge Crown.

And the crown they refer to is a piece of jewelry, part of the fashion giant’s first-ever non-fungible tokens (NFTs) collection that has been launched in partnership with token markets Polygon-based UNXD digital newspaper earlier this month.

Reportedly, the Doge crown, which has seven blue sapphires and 142 diamonds, was designed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana themselves. The crown has nothing to do with the crypto meme or its most famous cheerleaders as it is named after the old Venetian authority.

Buyers will receive 4K rendered animations and 4K rendered stills of the item as well as its physical version. The current bid is $501,819, set by user ethmad. The auction will end in three days and 21 hours.

There are also many people who think that Dolce & Gabbana’s move is just a PR action for the product. Or simply implied to borrow Musk’s image or encourage the Tesla CEO to buy the product at the highest price.

The cryptocurrency community was also quick to point out the character closely related to Dogecoin. And of course that character is no stranger.
