Dogecoin price soars as Elon Musk features DOGE using drones during “Cyber Rodeo” event

Elon Musk has warned that the launch event could be “the biggest party on earth.” It’s called “Cyber Rodeo” because of a series of neon-lit displays and autonomous drones used to perform a light show in the sky. It was made to celebrate the opening of Tesla’s most recent Gigafactory in Texas.

Many guests (Tesla applied to the authorities for permission to host 15,000 guests) saw a mascot of the native cryptocurrency Dogecoin meme created using a drone during the event.

The party kicks off at 4 p.m. Texas time comes less than two weeks after Tesla opened its first Gigafactory in Europe – Berlin. Currently, the total number of Tesla Gigafactories globally is 6, including Shanghai and factories in several US states.

As the video of Shiba Inu appearing in the dark sky at the Tesla party appeared on multiple Twitter accounts, the price of Dogecoin quickly surged more than 5% earlier today to $0.1527.

The Tesla chief joined the Twitter Board of Directors after he revealed his purchase of a 9.2% stake in Twitter, the site that holds 73.5 million shares of TWTR.

This makes Musk the sole majority shareholder of the company. The agreement signed with Twitter does not allow him to buy more than 14.9% of shares.

Musk has announced that he’s looking forward to working with Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and the Twitter board to “make significant improvements to Twitter in the coming months.”

Among these improvements, there seems to be an edit button. Before Musk’s investment was revealed, he did a poll asking the community if they wanted the edit button and if they agreed that Twitter doesn’t allow free speech.

Many in the Dogecoin Army hope Musk will integrate DOGE into Twitter by adding a DOGE limit feature or integrating the crypto meme in some other way.
