Core Mobile Wallet Launches on iOS, Bringing Avalanche to 1B+ Users Worldwide

Core mobile, the popular crypto wallet, has announced that it now supports iOS devices, making its all-in-one mobile wallet accessible to over a billion more mobile users worldwide. With the speed and power of Avalanche, iOS users can now download Core mobile for free and connect to Avalanche, Avalanche Subnets, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other EVM-compatible chains with ease.

One of the unique features of Core mobile is the ability for users to bridge native Bitcoin within the app, enabling them to put idle assets to use in Avalanche’s DeFi ecosystem. Core mobile also allows users to self-custody their assets, keeping them as the sole owner and not dependent on anyone else.

In addition to these features, Core mobile provides users with a Watchlist feature that tracks asset price movements in real-time. Users can also easily swap assets, manage their Avalanche and Ethereum assets, Bitcoin, NFTs, and more. Furthermore, Core mobile’s UI is silky smooth, making it easy to navigate all the app’s features.

This release of Core mobile for iOS comes at a key moment, with a 34% growth in the number of unique weekly users in 2023 so far. Additionally, BTC.b, Bitcoin bridged to Avalanche using Core, has grown by 17% this year, surpassing the number of Bitcoin on the Lightning Network, with over $215 million in volume bridged to date.

The launch of Core mobile for iOS is significant as it makes the app accessible to over a billion potential new users, enriching the Avalanche ecosystem further. Ava Labs, the company behind Core, is making it easy to deploy high-performance solutions for Web3, with a focus on innovations on Avalanche. Founded by Cornell computer scientists, Ava Labs partners with Wall Street veterans and early Web3 leaders to redefine the way people build and use open, permissionless networks.
