Chinese manufacturer Huawei implements Tron’s BitTorrent into its application stack

The world’s largest telecom equipment manufacturer and supplier, Huawei, has partnered with decentralized data storage protocol BitTorrent (BTT) under the auspices of the Tron Foundation. As such, billions of current Huawei smartphone users can experience the add-ons of BitTorrent, BitTorrent Pro, µTorrent, and µTorrent Pro.

Huawei cooperates with BitTorrent, allowing users to experience many new gadgets

As such, four BitTorrent tools, including BitTorrent, BitTorrent Pro, µTorrent, and µTorrent Pro, will be listed on Huawei’s AppGallery through Huawei’s Mobile Services.

This amazing upgrade is currently offered to all users using the latest Huawei devices i.e. Huawei Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Plus smartphones. A full set of file sharing options provided by the leading distributed Blockchain data network is now accessible from Huawei phones.

The BitTorrent protocol was added to the Tron Foundation’s portfolio in 2018. The BTT token is now used as a backbone of the entire BitTorrent X ecosystem.

This release is the start of a collaboration between two high-end tech giants – Tron Foundation and Huawei.

Justin Sun, Tron Founder and CEO of BitTorrent, emphasized the importance of this partnership for all of his products:

“This is another major milestone that puts TRON and BitTorrent on the list of partnerships with one of the largest Android manufacturers in the world.”

To expand this partnership even further, Tron Foundation and Singapore-based independent community BitTorrent Asia are planning to facilitate the creation and implementation of a new protocol. This protocol will integrate mobile applications from the Huawei ecosystem into the Tron Network through the BTT token.

This will exploit the potential of distributed computations provided by the BitTorrent File System (BTFS), another factor in BitTorrent X’s multi-product ecosystem.
