China largest stock software stopped providing BTC market data in response to regulatory requirements

Over the past month, China has stepped up its crackdown on Bitcoin and the crypto market in general. Beijing recently called for a severe crackdown on Bitcoin trading and mining. This has triggered an exodus of miners to safer locations like the United States (mainly Texas, where renewable energy is abundant).

Recently, as AZCoin News reported, major search engines, such as Baidu, recently blocked search results for Binance, Huobi, and OKEx. Weibo has also done the same with accounts and search results related to these trading platforms. And now, some of China’s largest stock software stopped providing BTC market data in response to regulatory requirements.

According to the news site The Block Beats, the customer service of Futu Securities International and Tiger Securities has confirmed the suspension of the CME BTC trading market and similar trading functions.

When using these apps, especially for Apple users, when logging into some cryptocurrency apps in China, a police prompt will appear:

“You are visiting an overseas niche website, please browse with caution.”

However, you can log in normally after closing the prompt.

Futu Securities customer service said that in response to regulatory requirements, the provision of market and trading information has been halted. After actual measurement, users can now only view CME BTC market information and no longer have trading features.

Some argue that it’s not about only making FUD. The Chinese government knows that they can’t control Bitcoin and want to spread digital yuan. This also suggests that Chinese-made electronics will be easier to control. This is why you don’t buy a phone or laptop inside China, if buying inside China buy versions imported from other countries.
