Chiliz Expands Global Sports Community with CHILIZ 2.0 Chain Launch

CHILIZ, the global sports and entertainment blockchain company, made an exciting announcement on the 19th, revealing the key features and future plans of its newly introduced ‘CHILIZ 2.0 Chain’.

Specialized in sports and entertainment, Chiliz Chain offers a unique platform that connects more than 150 sports teams and active communities worldwide. Built on the Chiliz Token (CHZ), the chain enables the seamless implementation of next-generation experiences, products, and services.

One of the highlights of Chiliz Chain is the introduction of an 11-node Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA) validation system, ensuring a highly secure environment for developers to create web3 projects. Initial validation institutions such as Jump Crypto, Paribu, and Meria have been announced, with plans to add more diverse institutions in the future.

Chiliz is actively promoting incubation and investment support through Chiliz Labs, allocating a substantial $50 million to activate early sports-oriented blockchain projects on the Chiliz chain.

Exciting web3 sports projects supported by Chiliz Labs are set to launch soon. These projects include Metaverse-based sports, football and football manager games, rewards and participation-based community platforms, social game platforms, AI-based content platforms, 3D high-quality digital sports collectibles, and NFT ticketing programs.

To further foster the growth of the Web3 sports industry and expand the global community, Chiliz plans to organize Chiliz Chain hackathons in major stadiums worldwide. More details about the hackathon events will be announced next month.

Chiliz already operates Socios.com, the world’s leading fan engagement and rewards platform. Through fan tokens linked to the supported teams, fans can participate in various services offered by Socios.com. The platform includes renowned football teams like FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Juventus, SSC Napoli, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Arsenal, as well as UFC and major F1 teams.
