Charles Hoskinson has joined the Board of the ETC Cooperative
Charles Hoskinson, co-founder of Cardano (ADA) has joined the Board of the ETC Cooperative.
We are excited to welcome Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) as the newest member of the @ETCCooperative Board of Directors.
Charles is a long-time supporter of #EthereumClassic and lends a unique level of insight and experience to the project.

Charles was a member of the initial Advisory Board for the ETC Cooperative back in early 2018. There are now six board members – Barry Silbert, Cody Burns, Elaine Ou, Roy Zou, Charles Hoskinson and Craig Salm, who is the Chair of the Board.
Ethereum Classic (ETC), which is the original Ethereum chain that decided not to roll back transactions following the DAO smart contract hack of Ethereum (ETH) several years back.
Charles needs little introduction within the ETC community, given his long-standing support for the ETC ecosystem all the way back to 2016. He laid out IOHK’s first commitments in the immediate aftermath of the DAO fork and the birth of ETC.
“Ethereum Classic has reached a philosophical crossroads – the level of hashrate, price depreciation and activity on the chain all indicate that ETC needs to take a new direction. As a result, we have decided, alongside others, to inject some more life into the ecosystem. If we can achieve that, not only will ETC thrive, but it will have the chance to fully realise the original ‘code is law’ philosophy, which will become more and more crucial as regulation increases and governments look to adopt digital currencies.” Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IOHK said.
