Cardano: The Shelley Incentivized Testnet has attracted 15,232 active users to date and over 11.35 billion ADA have been staked and delegated

Blockchain platform Cardano has continued to record milestones with its Shelley Incentivized Testnet (SIT). The Testnet which was launched last December has surpassed expectations so far.

The SIT is proving to be an incredible journey, today reached over 1000 registered users with over 670 active pools. Over 11.5B ADA is now being staked on the testnet. This is about 670% more than the number anticipated by Cardano. The SIT has also attracted over 15,000 users since it’s launch.

According to the blog, IOHK said:

The many improvements to performance have resulted in an increase in uptime – but there’s still a way to go. We are not resting on our laurels, even for a minute, and efforts to improve stability and performance are ongoing,

This is an unprecedented amount of activity within its ecosystem which suggests trust in Cardano blockchain by crypto enthusiasts and investors.

However, Cardano has said it would remain steadfast on its laurels and efforts to makes sure there is an improvement in the stability and performance of the network.

According to the release, the testnet has also recorded remarkable growth in terms of network stability, deligation growth, community support and rewards satisfaction.

Hoskinson describes that Cardano is to become the most decentralized crypto currency in the world as soon as all technical milestones of the roadmap have been completed:

[…] once completed, we will tend to become the most decentralized cryptocurrency in the world, yet still be able to govern itself, sustain itself, and be able to do with threats internal and external to its existence.

Cardano shows a strong development in the last weeks and was able to establish numerous new partnerships. These include cooperation with the Georgian and Uzbek governments, where the blockchain is to be used in public administration. Cardano was also able to win ScanTrust and the Berkman Klein Center of the renowned Harvard University as cooperation partners at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Cardano is also working with a number of African countries on the adoption of its blockchain technology by building solutions for different sectors in the region.

From the beginning of the year until today, ADA has been able to increase its price significantly and has recorded a price increase of 70 % within the last 30 days. In the last 24 hours, the ADA price has moved up to 2% and is at $ 0.062 at the press time.
