Bitmain announced brand-new product line consisting of two Bitcoin/SHA-256 miners, meanwhile their hashrate is almost 50% higher than that of the top predecessors

Bitmain, the world’s largest manufacturer of high-performance mining equipment, has announced its all-new product line, including Bitcoin/SHA-256 mining tools, Antminer S19, and Antminer S19 Pro. Their hashrate is almost 50% higher than that of their predecessors.

The mining equipment giant Bitmain has teased new flagship products

Amid concerns about the upcoming shutdown of Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Ethereum (ETH) on Bitmain’s Antminer E3, the mining giant has teased new leading products – Bitcoin mining tools/SHA-256, Antminer S19, and Antminer S19 Pro. According to the specs, they will work with unprecedented hash functions of 95 TH/s and 110 TH/s, respectively.

Besides, the company announced that the new machines would demonstrate the excellent energy efficiency of 34.5 ±% 5 and 29.5 ± 5%. The pricing of the devices will be revealed in the same way as the previous designs of both models. ‘The future of mining’ is the motto of Bitmain’s new product line.

Previous flagship models, Antminer S17 + and Antminer T17 + showed a hash rate of 55-67 TH/s.

Bet on Bitcoin (BTC) mining

It seems that Bitmain has decided to reorient to make the most of the excitement surrounding the upcoming third Bitcoin Halving. From the early days of May 2020, Bitcoin hashrate will be rewarded half as much as it is now rewarded. The size of the reward to complete a Bitcoin (BTC) block will be halved to 6.25 BTC.

Therefore, existing mining capacities need to be reorganized to keep the exploitation profitable for their owners. Thus, the new offer will undoubtedly be welcomed by the mining community regardless of the price of Antminer S19 and Antminer S19 Pro.

This innovation could also help Bitmain regain its reputation of excellence after being investigated by the US Department of Justice about the sale of mining equipment to the BitClub Ponzi program.
