Binance Labs and FunPlus Co-Lead $6.6 Million Seed Funding for Web3 Gaming Company Fusionist
Binance Labs, the venture capital arm and accelerator of Binance, has taken a significant step towards supporting the development of Web3 gaming projects with its co-leading role in a seed funding round for Fusionist.
The funding round, which amounted to $6.6 million, also saw participation from FunPlus, a prominent player in the Web2 gaming industry. This collaboration demonstrates Binance Labs’ commitment to fostering a thriving Web3 gaming ecosystem and backing promising early-stage ventures.
Fusionist, a Web3 gaming company, is introducing an ambitious sci-fi game trilogy that combines elements of management simulation, tactical RPG, and strategic 4X genres. The games are set in the 2800s, where Earth has become largely uninhabitable, and players take on the role of Commanders exploring the universe in search of habitable homes to sustain humanity across the galaxy.
With a focus on delivering an exceptional gaming experience, Fusionist aims to create a scalable Web3 gaming space by incorporating innovative multi-gaming mechanics and integrating collectible NFTs. Initially, the games will be launched on the BNB Chain, Binance’s native blockchain, before expanding to other Layer-1 networks.
Ike T, CEO of Fusionist, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Binance Labs, stating, “We are thrilled to have Binance Labs on board as a strategic investor and partner. With the support of one of the industry leaders, we can further raise the bar for what Fusionist is able to accomplish in the future.”
In just five months, Fusionist has managed to amass a community of 800,000 members and has already successfully launched three NFT series. The company is currently conducting beta testing on the popular video game distribution platform, Steam.
Binance Labs expects that Fusionist will continue to deliver engaging gameplay while fostering an interactive and dedicated user base. The recent seed funding will enable Fusionist to accelerate game development, enhance the Endurance Mainnet ecosystem (introduced in January 2023), and expand its team by recruiting top-tier gaming and Web3 professionals.
Binance Labs, valued at over $9 billion, has a broad portfolio encompassing 200 projects from more than 25 countries across six continents. The company has experienced a remarkable return on its investments, with an over 10X rate of return. Notably, 50 of Binance Labs’ portfolio companies have emerged from its incubation programs, highlighting the success and impact of its support for early-stage ventures.

Fusionist, on the other hand, is a blockchain-based gaming company that offers a range of games featuring collectible NFTs. With a global team of over 50 developers, Fusionist is dedicated to creating scalable and sustainable next-generation Web3 games for players worldwide.
In conclusion, the co-leading role of Binance Labs in the seed funding round for Fusionist reflects the increasing interest and investment in Web3 gaming projects. Fusionist’s innovative approach to game development, along with its growing community and successful NFT releases, positions it as a promising player in the Web3 gaming space. With the support of Binance Labs and its additional funding, Fusionist is poised to deliver immersive gaming experiences and contribute to the advancement of the Web3 gaming ecosystem.
