Binance, eToro and Remitano exchange were listed as unauthorized companies by Malaysia

The Securities Commission of Malaysia has put crypto exchange Binance, eToro and Remitano under its list of unauthorized companies.

According to the regulator, the digital asset trading platform is “operating a recognized market without authorization from the SC”.  Binance still seems to have the support for the Malaysian Ringgit, which it introduced for its P2P platform and mobile app back in March this year. The platform declined to comment on this story.

Earlier this month, Brazil’s Securities and Exchange Commission also said Binance is unauthorized and therefore banned it from offering derivative products in the country.

In February, the Malta Financial Services Authority stated that “Binance is not authorised by the MFSA to operate in the cryptocurrency sphere and is therefore not subject to regulatory oversight by the MFSA.”

In addition, the Securities Commission of Malaysia also included the eToro trading platform and Remitano exchange also in the list.

Remitano is Vietnam’s largest peer-to-peer trading platform, operating strongly in Vietnam, Malaysia, Nigeria and India.

eToro is a social trading and multi-asset brokerage company that focuses on providing financial and copy trading services. It has registered offices in Cyprus, Israel, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia.
