Abu Dhabi’s Venom Blockchain Unveils In-House Developed dApps on Testnet
Abu Dhabi-based Venom, a Layer-1 blockchain, has announced the launch of its public testnet as it prepares for its mainnet launch. The milestone marks an important step for Venom as it aims to build a robust ecosystem of decentralized applications (dApps). The Venom blockchain offers fast transaction processing speeds of up to 100,000 TPS and dynamic sharding for enhanced scalability and network reliability.

The testnet program is designed to encourage innovation and community building within the ecosystem. Developers can test and debug their dApps and blockchain protocols, while users can experience these dApps firsthand. Venom has curated a repository of developer documentation to equip developers with the necessary tools and knowledge to start building on its blockchain.
To access the testnet, users can download the Venom Wallet on mobile via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or on the desktop as a Google Chrome extension. They can then claim a free testnet allocation to begin testing the ecosystem.
As part of its growing ecosystem, Venom has unveiled several in-house developed dApps that will make their debut on the testnet, including Venom Wallet, Venom Scan, VenomPools, Venom Bridge, Venom Stake, Web3.World, WeUp, NFT Mint, and Oasis.Gallery. Users can test these dApps by performing transactions, testing the native Venom wallet, and more.
Venom Foundation is licensed by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), positioning it as the world’s first compliant blockchain. The foundation enables the acceleration of global Web3 projects, and its decentralized network operates under the jurisdiction of the ADGM, which is an oasis for investors and financial services firms.
According to Peter Knez, Chair of the Venom Foundation Council, “With our highly scalable and reliable asynchronous blockchain, we’re confident that developers will be able to build innovative dApps, while users will be able to experience them firsthand.”
Venom’s network offers interoperability, making it a viable tool for developers, while its low transaction fees make it user-friendly for global adoption. The launch of Venom’s public testnet is an exciting development for the blockchain community as it promises to enhance the blockchain’s capacity to support decentralized applications.
