72 servers were destroyed in the fire, and police estimated the damage at nearly $60,000. It is believed that the office is mining cryptocurrencies. Neighbors said the fire took a while to put out. Fortunately, no one was injured, but it is possible that a lot of GPUs were severely damaged.

According to statistics, Bitcoin miners account for 25% of GPU purchases at the beginning of 2021, equivalent to 700,000 high-end and mid-range graphics cards. Accordingly, cryptocurrency mining requires a lot of electricity. So if a house isn’t properly equipped to deal with the amount of power used by a 72-server heavy mining farm, it could catch on fire.
